We check the destination
Before activation we scan the destination URL. Clean links go live instantly. Risky links show warnings. Unsafe links are blocked.

Your destination is locked after activation
Once a link goes live, its destination URL cannot be edited. This stops bait-and-switch scams: a bad actor cannot build trust with a clean link and then silently redirect it to a scam. If you ever need a different destination, delete the link and create a new one — the old short URL becomes inactive and the new link starts fresh with no inherited clicks or reputation. And of course, that new destination is checked again before the new link activates.
