Terms of Service

Last updated: 4 July 2026

These Terms of Service govern the use of its.gd, a short-link service operated by DOMU.STUDIO. By using its.gd, creating a short link, registering an account, subscribing to a paid plan, or accessing any part of the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.

1. Service provider

its.gd is a product operated by:

Dominic Müller
DOMU.STUDIO
Sole proprietor
Mainzer Straße 19
50678 Cologne
Germany

Email: contact@domu.studio
VAT ID: DE245024829

2. The service

its.gd allows users to create, manage, and share shortened URLs.

The service is designed around trust and safety. Before a short link is activated, its.gd checks the destination URL using structural, heuristic, network, and threat-intelligence checks. These may include browser-side checks, DNS resolution, redirect-chain checks, Google Safe Browsing, URLhaus, and internal abuse reports.

its.gd shortens links. It does not intentionally hide scams, malware, phishing pages, deceptive destinations, or unsafe content.

3. Eligibility

You may use its.gd only if you are legally able to enter into a binding agreement.

If you use its.gd on behalf of a company, organization, client, or other legal entity, you confirm that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

You must provide accurate information when creating an account, subscribing to a paid plan, submitting a report, or contacting us.

4. Accounts

Some features require an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

You must not share, sell, transfer, or misuse your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, you must contact us without undue delay.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create risk for visitors, interfere with the service, abuse the platform, or expose us or others to legal, technical, reputational, or security risk.

5. Free links

Free links may be created with a random slug generated by its.gd.

Free links may be subject to limits, availability, abuse checks, rate limits, technical restrictions, and future changes. We may change, restrict, pause, or discontinue free features at any time.

Free links must not be used for prohibited purposes listed in these Terms.

6. Free links and service availability

Free links are provided as a free, optional feature. Free links may be changed, limited, disabled, deleted, expired, or discontinued at any time, especially for technical, operational, security, abuse-prevention, legal, or business reasons.

Because free links may be created without an account or email address, we may not be able to notify free-link users individually before a free link is deleted, disabled, or discontinued.

We do not guarantee that free links will remain available permanently.

7. Paid plans

its.gd may offer paid plans, including Pro and Pro+.

Paid plans may allow users to claim custom or rare slugs while the subscription remains active. The slug remains assigned to you only for as long as the relevant paid subscription is active and paid, unless otherwise stated.

Paid plans are billed per link and may renew on a recurring basis until cancelled. Prices, plan features, billing intervals, analytics frequency, and availability are shown at checkout or in the pricing section of the website.

We may change prices or plan features for future billing periods. Where legally required, we will notify you before changes take effect.

8. Cancellation and subscription end

You may cancel a paid subscription through the available account, dashboard, billing, or cancellation flow.

If you cancel a paid subscription, the relevant paid link usually remains active until the end of the paid billing period. After the paid period ends, the link may become inactive, deleted, restricted, or released for use by another user.

Once a slug is released, we cannot guarantee that you can reclaim it.

Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer cancellation, withdrawal, or refund rights that apply under applicable law.

9. Paid links and shutdown notice

If we decide to permanently shut down the its.gd service or materially discontinue paid link functionality, we will make reasonable efforts to notify Pro and Pro+ users at least one month before the shutdown takes effect, using the email address associated with their account or subscription.

This notice obligation applies only where we have a valid email address and where earlier action is not required for legal, security, abuse-prevention, emergency, insolvency, provider, or force-majeure reasons.

If immediate suspension, restriction, or termination is necessary to protect users, visitors, third parties, the service, or to comply with legal obligations, we may act without prior notice.

10. Consumer withdrawal rights

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may have a statutory right of withdrawal for certain online contracts.

Where applicable, details of your withdrawal right, exceptions, deadlines, and withdrawal process will be provided during checkout or in a separate withdrawal instruction.

If you expressly request immediate performance of a digital service during the withdrawal period, you may lose or limit your withdrawal right where permitted by law.

Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

11. Destination locking

Once a short link is activated, its destination URL is locked and cannot be edited.

This is a core safety feature of its.gd. Destination locking helps prevent bait-and-switch abuse, where a short link first points to a trusted destination and is later changed to a harmful or deceptive destination.

If you need to use a different destination, you must delete the existing link and create a new one. The old short URL may stop working, and the new destination must pass the applicable checks before activation.

12. Safety checks

its.gd checks destination URLs before activation. Safety checks may include, among other things:

  • URL parsing and scheme validation
  • detection of embedded credentials
  • detection of raw IP addresses, localhost, private hosts, or unsupported destinations
  • detection of dangerous file extensions or double extensions
  • detection of brand impersonation patterns
  • detection of homograph, punycode, script-mixing, or emoji-domain risks
  • warnings for abuse-heavy TLDs or chained shorteners
  • detection of open redirects or opaque encoded parameters
  • DNS resolution checks
  • redirect-chain checks
  • third-party threat-intelligence lookups
  • internal abuse and report history

We may change, add, remove, or adjust safety checks at any time.

Safety checks are provided to reduce risk. They do not guarantee that a destination is safe, legal, available, accurate, harmless, or free from malware, phishing, fraud, unwanted software, or other risks.

its.gd does not claim that any link is “100% safe.”

13. Link status: clean, suspicious, blocked

A destination may be treated as clean, suspicious, blocked, inactive, unavailable, or under review.

Clean links may redirect normally.

Suspicious links may show a warning page before redirecting, including information such as the destination domain or scan result.

Blocked links will not redirect visitors to the destination.

We may block, restrict, warn, disable, delete, or review any link at any time if we believe it violates these Terms, creates risk, has been reported, fails a safety check, is unlawful, is abusive, or may harm visitors, third parties, infrastructure, or the reputation of the service.

14. No guarantee of availability

We aim to keep its.gd reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, permanent operation, error-free performance, or continuous access to any link, slug, dashboard, analytics, report form, or feature.

The service may be unavailable due to maintenance, security incidents, abuse prevention, infrastructure issues, third-party providers, legal requirements, force majeure, or business decisions.

We may modify, suspend, discontinue, or restrict all or part of the service at any time.

15. Prohibited use

You must not use its.gd for any unlawful, harmful, deceptive, abusive, or high-risk activity.

You must not create, attempt to create, share, promote, or use links that point to or support:

  • phishing, credential theft, fake login pages, or account takeover
  • malware, ransomware, spyware, unwanted software, exploit kits, or malicious downloads
  • scams, fraud, impersonation, fake giveaways, deceptive investment offers, or fake support pages
  • brand impersonation, lookalike domains, or misleading identity claims
  • illegal goods, illegal services, or unlawful transactions
  • child sexual abuse material or any sexual exploitation of minors
  • non-consensual intimate content
  • doxxing, stalking, harassment, threats, or targeted abuse
  • hate, extremist, terrorist, or violent illegal content
  • instructions or tools for cyber abuse, unauthorized access, or circumvention of security systems
  • spam, bulk unsolicited messaging, link farming, traffic manipulation, or deceptive advertising
  • open redirects, cloaking, destination obfuscation, or chained shorteners intended to hide the final destination
  • copyright infringement, trademark infringement, or other intellectual property violations
  • content that violates applicable law or third-party rights

You must also not use its.gd in a way that damages, overloads, scans, scrapes, reverse engineers, attacks, probes, bypasses, or interferes with the service, its users, its visitors, or its infrastructure.

16. No evasion

You must not attempt to bypass its.gd safety checks, rate limits, blocking systems, account restrictions, billing systems, slug restrictions, or abuse-prevention measures.

You must not use encoded URLs, redirect chains, domain rotation, cloaking, compromised websites, misleading slugs, or other methods to hide the true destination or purpose of a link.

We may treat attempted evasion as a serious violation and may suspend or terminate access immediately.

17. User responsibility for destinations

You are solely responsible for the URLs you submit, the destinations you link to, the slugs you choose, and the way you share your links.

You confirm that you have all necessary rights, permissions, and legal grounds to create and share each link.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of its.gd complies with applicable laws, advertising rules, consumer protection rules, intellectual property rights, privacy laws, platform rules, and third-party terms.

18. Slugs and naming

A slug is the custom or random path used in an its.gd short link.

You must not choose or use a slug that is unlawful, misleading, abusive, offensive, infringing, deceptive, confusing, impersonating, or likely to harm others.

We may refuse, reserve, rename, release, reclaim, suspend, or remove any slug if we believe it violates these Terms, infringes rights, creates confusion, is needed for operational reasons, is subject to a legal complaint, or creates risk for its.gd or others.

Users do not own slugs, short links, or the its.gd domain. A paid subscription grants only a limited, revocable right to use the selected slug through the service while the subscription is active, paid, and compliant with these Terms.

19. Analytics

Paid plans may include analytics such as clicks, country, device, operating system, source, or social-media referrer.

Analytics may be approximate, incomplete, delayed, filtered, aggregated, or unavailable. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or commercial suitability of analytics.

Analytics must not be used to identify individuals unless you have a valid legal basis and comply with applicable privacy laws.

Details about personal data processing are provided in the Privacy Policy.

20. Reporting abuse

Anyone may report an unsafe, suspicious, unlawful, or abusive its.gd link through the report form or by contacting us.

Reports should be submitted in good faith and should include enough information for us to review the issue.

We may review reported links manually or automatically. We may block, warn, restrict, disable, or remove links based on reports, safety checks, legal notices, internal review, third-party intelligence, or other relevant information.

Submitting false, abusive, automated, or bad-faith reports is prohibited.

21. Moderation and enforcement

We may use automated systems, manual review, third-party data, user reports, and internal rules to detect and respond to abuse.

If we restrict, block, suspend, remove, or otherwise moderate a link or account, we may provide information about the reason where required by law and where doing so would not create security, legal, privacy, or abuse risks.

Depending on the case, enforcement may include:

  • rejecting link creation
  • showing a warning page
  • blocking redirection
  • disabling a link
  • deleting a link
  • releasing a slug
  • restricting dashboard access
  • suspending or terminating an account
  • cancelling a subscription
  • preserving relevant records
  • notifying affected parties
  • reporting serious unlawful activity to competent authorities where legally required or appropriate

We may act without prior notice where necessary to protect visitors, users, third parties, infrastructure, legal interests, or the integrity of the service.

22. Appeals and contact

If you believe a link or account was restricted by mistake, you may contact us at contact@domu.studio and provide the relevant short link, account information, and explanation.

We may review appeals at our discretion and where required by applicable law. We may decline appeals that are abusive, repetitive, incomplete, fraudulent, or submitted in bad faith.

23. Third-party services

its.gd may rely on third-party infrastructure, hosting providers, payment processors, DNS providers, security providers, analytics tools, email providers, and threat-intelligence sources.

Third-party services may have their own terms, policies, availability limits, and data practices. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.

24. Payments

Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. You agree to provide accurate billing and payment information.

You authorize the applicable payment provider to charge the fees shown at checkout, including recurring subscription fees where applicable.

If payment fails, is reversed, disputed, refunded, charged back, or not received, we may suspend, restrict, or terminate the relevant paid feature, link, slug, subscription, or account.

Unless mandatory law provides otherwise, fees already paid are non-refundable.

25. Taxes

Prices may include or exclude VAT or other taxes depending on how they are shown at checkout and what applicable law requires.

You are responsible for any taxes, duties, charges, or reporting obligations that apply to your use of the service, except taxes based on our income.

26. Intellectual property

its.gd, DOMU.STUDIO, the website design, text, branding, logos, software, safety logic, workflows, and other service elements are protected by intellectual property laws.

You receive no ownership rights in its.gd, the domain, the software, the brand, the design, or the underlying technology.

You may not copy, modify, resell, sublicense, reverse engineer, scrape, or use the service or its content except as permitted by these Terms or mandatory law.

27. Feedback

If you send us ideas, suggestions, bug reports, or feedback, you allow us to use them without restriction, compensation, or obligation to you.

28. Privacy

Your use of its.gd is also governed by the Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, which third-party providers may be involved, and what rights you may have.

You must not use its.gd in a way that violates privacy, data protection, or electronic communications laws.

29. Security

You must not test, scan, attack, overload, disrupt, reverse engineer, or attempt to bypass the security of its.gd without prior written permission.

You must not use the service to distribute malware, collect credentials, exploit vulnerabilities, hide malicious infrastructure, or support cyber abuse.

If you discover a vulnerability, please report it responsibly to contact@domu.studio and do not exploit it, disclose it publicly, or access data that does not belong to you.

30. Disclaimers

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, guarantees, and representations, whether express or implied, including warranties of availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, security, reliability, or uninterrupted operation.

We do not guarantee that:

  • any link will always be available
  • any destination is safe or lawful
  • safety checks will detect every risk
  • analytics will be accurate or complete
  • a slug will remain available after cancellation, deletion, suspension, or expiry
  • the service will meet your business, marketing, legal, compliance, or technical requirements

Mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.

31. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where liability cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body, or health, mandatory product liability, or other non-excludable liability.

For slight negligence, we are liable only for breaches of essential contractual obligations. Essential contractual obligations are obligations whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible and on whose compliance you may regularly rely. In such cases, liability is limited to typical and foreseeable damage.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damage, loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of data, loss of reputation, business interruption, third-party claims, destination content, user-created links, or misuse of the service.

32. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, losses, costs, liabilities, and expenses arising from:

  • your use of its.gd
  • links or destinations you submit
  • slugs you choose
  • content, campaigns, or websites you link to
  • your breach of these Terms
  • your violation of law or third-party rights
  • your misuse of the service
  • your fraud, negligence, or intentional misconduct

This does not apply where the claim was caused by our own responsibility under mandatory law.

33. Termination

You may stop using its.gd at any time. You may delete links or cancel subscriptions through the available dashboard, billing, or cancellation process.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the service if you violate these Terms, create risk, fail to pay, misuse the service, interfere with operations, or if we are legally required or reasonably justified to do so.

After termination, your links may become inactive, deleted, blocked, or unavailable. Paid slugs may be released after the relevant paid period ends or where termination is due to breach.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply, including provisions on liability, intellectual property, prohibited use, indemnity, payments due, governing law, and dispute resolution.

34. Free links in case of shutdown

If the its.gd platform or service is shut down, free short links may be deleted, disabled, or made unavailable without individual notice.

Users should not rely on free links as permanent infrastructure for critical, commercial, legal, medical, financial, emergency, or long-term use cases.

35. Changes to the service

We may change, improve, restrict, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

We may also introduce new limits, safety checks, account requirements, pricing structures, or technical rules.

Where changes materially affect paid subscriptions or consumer rights, we will provide notice where required by law.

36. Sale or transfer of the platform

We may sell, transfer, assign, merge, reorganize, or otherwise transfer its.gd, DOMU.STUDIO's rights in the service, the domain, the platform, software, infrastructure, user accounts, subscriptions, short links, slugs, destination URLs, analytics, abuse reports, and other service-related data to another business or legal successor.

In such a case, the buyer or successor may continue operating the service and may process the transferred data in accordance with these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and applicable law.

Where required by law, affected users will be informed of the transfer. Paid users may be notified by email where we have a valid email address.

37. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

The updated Terms will be posted on the website with a new “Last updated” date. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or request consent.

If you continue using the service after updated Terms take effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the service and, where applicable, cancel your subscription.

38. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding conflict-of-law rules.

If you are a consumer and mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide stronger protection, those mandatory rights remain unaffected.

39. Jurisdiction

If you are a merchant, legal entity under public law, or special fund under public law, the courts of Cologne, Germany, have jurisdiction to the extent legally permitted.

For consumers, statutory jurisdiction rules apply.

40. Consumer dispute resolution

We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

41. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective.

The invalid provision will be replaced by the applicable statutory rule or by a valid provision that comes closest to the intended economic and legal purpose, where legally permitted.
